TCIA is a general aviation facility located three miles northwest of the City of Fort Pierce. Operations primarily support business activity, a flight training school located on site, and private aircraft. The airport hosts a Federal Inspection Station (FIS) administered by the U.S. Customs & Border Protection that makes it a frequent stop for private aircraft coming in and out of the Islands of the Bahamas.
Many pilots can avoid the congested international traffic in South Florida by utilizing TCIA. The airport has no landing fees and fast service from the FBO that offers fuel, an on-site restaurant, on-site maintenance, ground handling, quick-turn service, lavatory service and more.
