The Treasure Coast International Airport and Business Park will host “The Take Off:” The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance Art Guild Opening Night Art Exhibition and Cocktail Reception on Thursday, May 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

More than 20 paintings representing numerous mediums will be on display at the Curtis King Terminal of the airport from May 6 to July 9.

This juried exhibit features more than 12 Cultural Alliance Art Guild artists exemplifying the Treasure Coast cultural community.  The exhibition, designed to showcase the county’s enormous talent, will also feature works by other Cultural Alliance members, including a belly dance performance by Helia and magical treats by Mr. Medina.

“As an architect, I’ve encouraged the placement of local artists’ work in various projects over the years. Our airport terminal couldn’t be a better place to do the same,” said Peter Jones, Economic Development manager for St. Lucie County.

“St. Lucie Cultural Alliance is committed to showcasing our artists throughout the community. The collaboration with the Treasure Coast International Airport will provide another beautiful venue for our artists and will welcome our visitors to St. Lucie County with beautiful paintings,” said Alyona Ushe, executive director of St. Lucie Cultural Alliance.

The opening night reception will feature limited capacity and the opportunity to see these unique pieces of art and talk with the artists. To RSVP, email info@artstlucie.org.

The Treasure Coast International Airport is located 3000 Curtis King Blvd., Fort Pierce.
