St. Lucie County completed a year-long pavement marking project at Treasure Coast International Airport in mid-August 2022. The project addressed fading, aged and worn pavement markings on the airfield. Eighty percent of the project was funded in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation and the remaining 20% match was provided by St. Lucie County.
Airfield pavement markings are a major component of an airport’s visual navigation infrastructure. Markings provide a critical function: visual guidance for pilots, ground vehicles and ground personnel to safely navigate and operationally maneuver within an airfield.
